Is there ever too much reflective vinyl?

As I watch my kids take off into the night on their motorcycle, I can confidently say the answer is NO. That being said, I need to remember that the shirt doesn't do any good if they won't wear it. I think I'm pushing the boundaries where the shirt is still cool, but they don't feel too much like a road flare.
I have been working on this design - something futuristic and cool where the reflective vinyl makes sense. You'll see it - I'm posting it on the website finally after about 5 tries. And yes, I'll continue to tweak it but I think I'm close. And honestly, I don't want a shirt that takes me two days to make. This one's pretty close. There's a TON of vinyl - 6 sheets that have to be cut and weeded. Then the press - that is an adventure in itself. But - it's all worth it in the end because the shirt is SO COOL!!! I've tried to design the front, back, arms, and sides for visibility. It's pretty sweet if I don't say so myself - and it has more reflective areas than the wings - which will always be my favorite design. But again - this is all about balancing a shirt with high vis and still looking cool.
I have a couple other ideas for this high volume high reflective kind of shirt - I just need a month off from work to do this cool FUN STUFF. Until then, I'm finally posting this one and I'll and keep designing for our boys - to keep them lit and for them to show off and see if there are any other takers. ;-) I'd love to see a whole band sporting U Light the Dark and lighting the road up!
